Entry Requirements

  • Currently working in a community support alcohol and other drugs work role and have a relevant recognised higher education or vocational education qualification at Certificate IV or above;
  • Have the core Units of Competency from one of the following qualifications OR be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge:
    • Certificate IV in Mental Health OR CHC40412 Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs;
  • Have at least one year of full-time equivalent relevant work experience in the industry including being able to demonstrate sufficient responsibility to exercise discretionary judgement and decision making under general guidance;
  • Have a current First Aid Certificate;
  • Be eligible to apply for, and hold a 'Working with Vulnerable People Check' before undertaking any professional placement. Information will be provided on enrolment.
