Entry Requirements

  • GCSE English grade C or above (or equivalent), and a minimum of 100 UCAS points.
  • There is a minimum International requirement for IELTS of 5.5. Mature applicants are considered on merit.

Curriculum

The programme runs across three days a week. There are eight mandatory units of study. These are:

  • the Travel and Tourism Sector
  • Finance and Funding in the Travel and Tourism Industry
  • the Developing Manager 
  • Research Project
  • Marketing in Travel and Tourism
  • Contemporary Issues in Travel and Tourism
  • Sustainable Tourism
  • Legislation and Ethics in the Travel and Tourism Sector.

In addition, there are eight sector-specific units studied, which include

  • Visitor Attractions Management 
  • Special Interest Tourism 
  • Tourist Destinations
  • Heritage and Cultural Tourism
  • Tour Operations Management and Incoming and Domestic Tourism.
